7 Some websites for University Rankings for the Economics Departments:

8 Student selection process:
Students are ranked based on a mathematical formula prepared by the National Erasmus Agency. The formula consists of CGPA (50%) and English language skills (50%) Once the highest ranked students will be selected for Erasmus Student Exchange Program, a waiting list will also be formed for the case of cancellations. Host universities will be distributed on the basis of preferences and rankings of the students.

9 Financial support: Erasmus grants will be given upon availability of funds from the National Erasmus Agency Grants will be distributed from the top to the bottom of the ranked list of applicants Not necessarily all students selected for Erasmus exchange will receive a grant, but most of the students will. Students receiving a grant will get it for one semester only Selected students not receiving a grant, can still be an exchange student -- provided that they use own finance. BILKENT UNIVERSITY

10 After student selection
The Exchange Office will organize meetings with outgoing Erasmus students in April and May. The National Erasmus Agency will announce the budget for by the end of June. Selected students wishing to go on exchange in the Fall semester will initiate the application process before knowing for certain whether they will get a grant or not. BILKENT UNIVERSITY

11 Words of Caution: The course load during an exchange semester is 30 ECTS, which is equivalent to 5 Bilkent courses (30 ECTS = 15 Bilkent CRs) You must pass at least 2/3 of the courses taken during the exchange semester to be able to receive the 20% of the remaining grant. BILKENT UNIVERSITY
