2 Will A: Telephone! B: OK. I’ll get it. A: Look! Jack is stuck in the car! B: Oh. I’ll help him.

3 to show you have decided to do something at that moment. Use WILL You decide to do this as you speak. A: Look at Jack! He’s on foot today. B: I’ll give him a ride!

4 I will always love you! I’ll give you my homework tomorrow, I promise!

5 Use WILL to make a serious promise. A: Remember, this is top secret. B: I won’t tell anybody. You can count on me.

6 I’m having trouble with my homework. Will you help me? Use WILL for requests.

7 You can use WILL to say what you think or guess will happen in the future. The cars of the future will fly. I think they won’t run on petrol.

8 WILL is a common way of expressing what the speaker thinks, believes, hopes, assumes, fears etc. will happen:

9 Be Going to We’re going to spend two weeks of July in Paris. We bought the tickets two days ago, and we’re going to leave on July 10th.

10 You can use be going to talk about future plans and intentions. future plans and intentions. My friend is going to have a party next week. I’m going to go with him.

11 Watch out! You’re going to fall. Ooops! Too late!

12 Use be going to when something in the present leads you to predict something in the future. Look at those dark clouds! It’s going to rain.
