8 Page 8 Tips for Working on RFA Publications (FFO and Omnibus Synopsis) 1.The feature to develop a stand-alone FRN has been removed. Use the Synopsis functionality to also develop a stand-alone FRN. The Omnibus and Stand-alone FRNs will have the same standard information at the top of the announcement. 2.The fields for the FFO and Synopsis publications are no longer pre-populated from the RFA data. All publication data fields must manually entered. 3.The first data set under “Create Publications” button is for the FFO. The system does a one-time copy of this data to the Synopsis which can then be edited as necessary. See guidance document. 4.Any changes to the FFO after creating the Synopsis will not be reflected in the Synopsis. Updates to each document must be made independently. 5.The “Save” button may not be immediately visible on the pop-up screen where the data is entered. This is based on your screen resolution and will be adjusted in the next release. To access the “Save” button place the cursor on the white space outside of the text box (widen box if necessary), then hold down the left click on the mouse and drag the cursor down so that the screen moves up and displays the “Spell Check” and “Save” buttons. This “Save” actually saves the data. The “Save” on the main screen just refreshes that screen. 6.For the Synopsis, only one paragraph will be formatted for each section. The FFO will handle multiple paragraphs. 7.For proper formatting, remove any indentions on the first line. The system automatically indents the first line when creating the documents. 8.When you create a new RFA from an existing RFA, all publication data fields are blanked out and need to be re-entered for the new RFA. A previously cleared FFO document can be used as a guidance document – the sections can be copied and pasted into the appropriate FFO fields.
