4 CHAMPS Communication – What should the voice level be during an activity? Help – How will the student get help? Activity – This defines what the student will be doing. Movement – Where can the student go? Participation – How will the teacher see participation? Success

5 Trust Cards Each student has been issued a trust card. By wearing their trust cards, students receive special privileges. If a student behaves inappropriately, his/her trust card can be taken away. If that happens, the student will be assigned a consequence in order to earn back his/her trust card.

6 MyWyFi This year students are able to bring their own Internet enabled devices to school. Students who choose to bring their own device will have access to a guest wireless network. With classroom teacher approval, students may use these devices in the classroom as part of their day to day activity.

14 Science Notebooking Students will work in their science notebook daily. They are welcome to take it home to use as a study tool, but will need it in class every day. Tutoring is available before and after school every Tuesday and before school on Wednesday. All students were given a tutoring pass and are welcome to attend. Mandatory tutoring will begin soon. At home, please refer to my website for study tools and information.

17 Grading Policy 40 % Major (Common Assessment, Readiness Assessment) and 60 % Minor (class work). Homework will be given throughout the school year usually on Monday, due on Wednesday. 6 th Grade Math

18 Bundles Curriculum is put into 3 week bundles Common Assessment and CBA after each bundle is completed Readiness Assessment during bundle over Readiness TEK Daily grades at least once a week over bundle material Weekly spirals from previous and current bundles
