3. The Election of 1800 Debate…It’s 1800, it’s time to pick a new president. Will it be a Federalist or Democratic-Republicans? The class will be divided into 2 groups: Federalists & Democratic- Republicans The Federalist will select someone to be Alexander Hamilton and the Democratic-Republican will select someone to be Thomas Jefferson That person will create a 3-minute speech outlining their party’s main ideas. Be prepared to give the speech at the debate.
