This manual was written using a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone with Android OS version 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) Version 2.0.10 1 One of the keys to successful freight management, transportation, and delivery is the accurate, real-time tracking of the status of shipments, start to finish. Shippers need information about their goods in transit, forwarders, handlers and carriers need to be able to document that they’ve done their jobs and end customers deserve to know what to expect from their delivery experience. While the process isn’t new, eTrack now mirrors all of the traditional freight management and documentation processes and tools and presents them in a powerful mobile application. ETrack provides the transportation professional an accurate, time-saving and convenient transportation management tool. This manual provides instruction for its use. This will start the App * In the future, the App should appear on your home page. If it does not appear on your home page after installing it, you can go into the menu and pin it to your home screen. 7

Once your ID number is typed in, click on the password field and type in your password. * Refer to Chapter 4 (tips and Tricks) to learn more about how to get your user name and password 10

Once you have signed your name, click on the “Done” button. 11 * If your signature is too short, you will have try again

If your list is long like this one, you will need to speak to the local manager to figure out why you still have open routes.

Once you click Arrived, you will need to confirm the arrival. If arrival is what you selected then confirm by clicking “Yes”. Clicking ”No” will back you out of the screen

If the barcode is not able to be scanned, click on the gold outlined box to type the tracking number in manually. 16 The Circle Icon at the bottom left shows how many items have been scanned versus the number of items expected. The Circle Icon in the bottom right in Red shows the total number of items scanned with exceptions This area shows you the item tracking number and a description of the item(s). It also shows the item scanned in the far right using the fraction. 1/1 means that item has been scanned

This will start the camera to scan an item. 17 The Circle Icon at the bottom left shows how many items have been scanned versus the number of items expected. The Circle Icon in the bottom right in Red shows the total number of items scanned with exceptions This part of the screen shows you the items to be scanned. The scan count is in fraction format on the right next to each item.

The phone will automatically focus and capture the scan, no need to push anything to get the scan. You should hear a beep from the phone for scan conformation. 18

As you can see, the fractions in the far right are now 1/1 next to each item. 19 The Circle Icon at the bottom left shows how many items have been scanned versus the number of items expected. The Circle Icon in the bottom right in Red shows the total number of items scanned with exceptions. Once all items are scanned, you will need to press the Droid back button.

Then type in the first initial and last name of the person that is accepting the drop off. 21 The Circle Icon at the bottom left shows how many items have been scanned versus the number of items expected. The Circle Icon in the bottom right in Red shows the total number of items scanned with exceptions. After you have typed in the first initial and last name, click on the “Sign” button.

Here is a diagram that shows how to tell the front from a side of a package. To be able to identify the correct location of a condition, you must first be able to describe the location. The side of the box that has the label on it is the FRONT of the package.

Here is map that will help you describe the location. * You can right click on the Icon below to open a printable version of the Location Guide

As you will notice, in this example the box reads “any NEW Exceptions” This is due to this portion of the delivery being on the delivery or destination side of the delivery. If you are on the first portion or the pick up side of the job, the box reads “Are there any exceptions” Select “Yes” to start entering an exception.

You can select multiple locations Once you have selected the location of the damage, click on the “Done” button

From here you can either add more exceptions or select the Droid Back button

To take a picture of the exception, select the Camera tab at the top of this screen Then select the “Take a picture” button

This information is based on the due date of the job and the time window that is assigned. Select the reason that you are not in the time window by touching the radio button next to the reason

Confirm the arrival on the pop up screen. Click Exceptions Select from this box the proper choice for your pick up or delivery Now you must call your local 3PD office for a NAH conformation

Find the Icon named “Settings” Find the menu item named “Apps” Click on the Etrack App from the selection Click on “Force Stop” and this will stop the App from running in the background

The tool icon can be clicked to see assembly details for a job Clicking on this icon will open a screen that shows the progression of the job.

Then you will need press send on your phone to complete the phone call. This icon will have a letter indicating what state the job is in. This icon will open the GPS navigation in your phone and guide you to the job.
