1 Chapter 14 I have to have…

2 Last Week: Review You used “I need to be able to + verb.” to talk about skills for jobs. ex. A teacher needs to be able to communicate well. Practiced “I can + verb” and “I am good at + verb+ing” and their negatives. ex. I can sing. I can’t sing. // I am good at singing. I am not good at singing. Discussed what skills are needed in several jobs.

3 This Week You will continue to talk about jobs. You will identify vocabulary that relates to various jobs. You will make a list tools that are used in various jobs, particularly tools that you may need in your future occupation. You will practice the sentence structures “I will need + noun.” “I will have to have + noun.” You will practice using articles such as some, many, much, a lot of, lots of, and a few before nouns. You will practice using count, non-count and abstract nouns. You will use a dictionary to look up the proper English names of tools that you are likely to use both in your training at school and after you graduate.
