Schools Forum Induction Key dates for the LA include: 30 th September 2015 – deadline for applications to SoS re central Schools Block budget increases and minor formula variations 1 st October 2015 – school census date, used to fund mainstream schools 30 th October 2015 – deadline for informing EFA of likely shape of mainstream funding formula for 2016-17 10 th December 2015 – DfE publish data to enable LAs to estimate their Schools Block DSG allocations w/c 14 th December 2015 – DfE publish Schools Block, High Needs Block and [provisional] Early Years Block allocations 31 st December 2015 – deadline for submitting exceptional formula changes

Schools Forum Induction Key dates cont’d: January 2016 – Cabinet agree Schools Block allocations 21 st January 2016 – deadline for informing EFA of final mainstream funding formula details for 2016-17 29 th February 2016 – deadline for publishing mainstream school budget shares 31 st March 2016 – deadline for publishing other budgets/estimated income, e.g. special schools, ERS etc. June 2016 – Early Years Block DSG allocation updated for January 2016 pupil numbers June 2017 – Early Years Block DSG allocation (for 2016-17) updated for January 2017 pupil numbers - covers period Sept 2016-March 2017
