2 Indirect Objects Indirect objects –The person or thing to which or for which the action is done –Comes between the verb and D.O. –Never in a prepositional phrase –May be compound –Answers the questions: to what? or to whom? for what or for whom?

3 Indirect Objects Example: –Pam gave me an orange. Pam = subject gave = verb orange = direct object to whom did she give the orange?? –me = indirect object
