8 Summer Writing Assignment The Summer Writing Assignment will be your first graded assignment. It will be used to give you a baseline knowledge of your abilities. You will receive feedback from: 1) yourself 2) peers 3) me.

9 Summer Writing Assignment You probably fall into ONE of Three Situations: 1)Not Complete – Unsure of the task and/or the readings. 2)Attempting but Incomplete – you understand the task, but need more time to work on it. 3)Complete – you finished it.

10 Group Three (Completed the Assignment) You will get a bonus score for having the assignment done on-time. For today, you’re going to perform a self- assessment, and you’re going to give and/or receive peer-feedback. If you finish these tasks early, you’re going to help others with their assignments. 13 The Task 1) Write an argument about the effects of social media and digital technology on writing and communication. 2) In order to do this, you need to read two texts: a) excerpt from Plato’s Phaedrus b) an article from the NY Times. 3) Your argument needs to incorporate ideas from these primary texts (2-3 each).
