1 Camera Movement The way the camera physically moves through the space of the film.

2 Dolly The camera is mounted on a cart which travels along tracks for a very smooth movement. Usually moves towards the subject of the shot.

3 Track Just like a dolly shot, but the camera moves side-to-side rather than towards the subject of the shot.

4 Pan Horizontal movement, left and right; camera base remains fixed.

5 Tilt Vertical movement of the camera angle, i.e. pointing the camera up and down (as opposed to moving the whole camera up and down).

6 Reframe The slight movement (up, down, left, right) of the camera to keep the object of the shot in the frame

7 Why include camera movement? What effect does camera movement have on the audience?
