6 Consequences Above all else, this classroom is to be a safe and welcoming learning community. Consequences will be handled on a case-by-case basis; however, actions may include, but are not limited to warnings, lunch detention, phone calls home, and referrals to the principal. 1st. Warning, 2nd Parental Contact, 3rd Detention, 4th Administrative Intervention If a student misses three detentions, it will result in the student being written up and referred to the principal.

9 Procedures Supplies: All students will need to bring a binder with paper and a writing utensil to class everyday. Notebooks must be kept organized; there will be unannounced notebook checks. You will need to pick up the Bell Ringer Assignment, and you will go silently to your assigned seat. You will start immediately. 10 Class Time:This class is about 52 minutes long and we will be using all of that time every day for learning. Being on time, prepared, and on task is non- negotiable. The class manager will be responsible for keeping track of notes or assignments you may have missed; however, it is YOUR job to go the class manager to receive the information. 13 Tardies & Dismissal Procedure Tardy: There will be a Tardy Sign In Sheet right inside the door, so when you enter after visiting the attendance desk for your pass, fill out the sign in sheet. 16 Managers Responsibilities 1. Class Manager (1/class): A class manager has the most responsibilities of anyone. He/she is the teacher’s second hand. He/she must be organized, honest, and vocal. He/she must ensure that others are upholding their responsibilities. He/she is to step in and help out if someone is absent. If others are not doing their jobs, the class manager needs to be able to talk to the individual privately. The class manager needs to be able to converse with the teacher in confidence if the problem persists. If jobs do not get done, the class manager is equally responsible and will endure the same consequences. Students should report to the class manager with concerns about their job.
