An intellectual movement that stresses reason and thought. The Enlightenment will also be geared for individuals to solve problems. Will also be known as the Age of Reason .

5 Philosophes This is the term for all of these key players or social critics during the Enlightenment. Applied reason to all aspects of life. They had five concepts for their core of beliefs Reason Nature Happiness Progress Liberty
