Developmental Task The different skills that children learn as they grow. Each stage has different developmental task.

Physical Development Reflexes – An automatic muscle response Motor Skills – Using your muscles – Fine – Large Hand-eye coordination – Skill in moving the hands in relation to what the eye sees

Mental or Intellectual Development Ability to think and use the mind Creativity Learn by your 5 senses – Seeing – Hearing – Touching – Tasting – Smelling

Emotional and Social Development Learning to express feelings and individuality As they learn to express themselves, interact with others better. Develop in this area by playing with others.

Moral Development Learn the difference between right and wrong Conscience – Inner sense of right and wrong Eventually learn to control their own behavior.
