6 Sign Up *Give the blog a username * Type in your email address * Type in the verification number. * Click Next * Please not for your username do not use capital letters and choose a username you think will not have been already taken.

7 Sign up * Give the blog a title * Set Privacy * Sign up

8 Activate your Blog * You now need to go to your email and click on the link to activate your blog.

9 Go to your email account (this example is using Hotmail) * Open the email from Global Click on the link to activate this blog

10 Username and Password Here is your username and password. Write these down and keep them in a place that you will remember Then Click Home

12 Login Write your username and password * Click Log In

13 Getting Started on your Blog *There are four options for your blog Write, Manage, Design, Comments

14 Changing the Design of your Blog * Click Design

15 Changing the Design Theme This is the current theme. When you change the theme it will show you what the new theme is here.

16 Changing the Design Theme * To change the theme scroll down the page and click on the theme you like.

17 The Theme *It shows you an example of that theme. *Click activate

18 Themes The new theme is displayed here.

19 Writing on your Blog To write on your blog Click Write

20 Writing on the Blog Writing a Post Click Post Give the post a title Write in the post Publish the Post and it will be shown on the blog. *Please note that only published writing is seen on the blog.

21 Creating new page To create a new page Click Write Click Page Add the Title of the new page Write on your new page Click Publish *Please note again that only published writing is seen on the blog.

22 Creating Links You are able to add links to websites or other blog pages. Creating a link to another website Click write Click Link Give the Link a name Write in the Web Address Click Save

23 Adding a Picture To insert a picture into a post. Click Write Click Post Click add image This symbol is for the image

24 Inserting a picture Click ‘Choose file to Upload’

25 Inserting a picture *Choose the Picture. *Click open.

26 Inserting a picture It places the picture here Scroll down the page

27 Inserting a picture You can adjust the alignment And size of the picture Click Insert into Post

28 Inserting a picture *Make sure you click Publish

29 Managing your Blog Click Manage ‘Manage’ your site gives you access to all that has been put on your blog e.g. Posts Pages Links etc.

30 Comments You can also manage and delete comments others put on your blog.

31 To View your site To view your site Click view Site

32 The Blog It takes you to your blog. To go back to editing your blog click ‘back’ or ‘edit this’ This is the address to give to others to view your blog.
