3.  Electricity pollutes in many ways  Mostly fossil-fuels are burned for electricity causing pollution.  Fossil fuels are mostly dead and decayed plants and animals. An example of fossil fuels are oil, petroleum, and gasoline.  When we burn fossil fuels we pollute the air with harmful gasses. Some of these gases are green house gasses.

4.  Pollutants when released in the air form a “shield” like thing. When the sun shines on the “shield” the rays come down to earth and bounces back up. When the ray comes back to the “shield” it bounces back down repeating the process many times. That is the green house effect.

5. People are worried because the green house effect will speed up global warming, people are worried about global warming because the earth would be so hot and uncomfortable life would be torture and the earth would be so polluted if we went outside we wouldn’t be able to see our own hand. Another reason is that global warming could melt the polar ice caps our main source of water. The sea level has risen about 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 inches) in the last 100 years, that is proof that the ice caps are melting.
