6. The summary of creation:

7. 1. The creation of the universe did not occur over a long period of time. It was instantaneous from the hand of God. Psa 19:1; 33:6; Heb 11:3; 2 Peter 3:5

8. 2. The six-day period is not a description of original creation. It is the preparation of the earth for habitation coupled with the creation of that which would inhabit it.

9. 3. The time of the creation of the heavens and earth in Gen 1:1 is unknown. What is known is that God did it! Isa 45:18

10. 4. We know that the earth was not created imperfect, Deut 32:4.

11. Deut 32:4, “The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.”

12. 5. After the creation of angels and before the creation of man, there was an indefinite period of time in which TOHU WAW BOHU occurred.

13. Why? Angels who were also created perfect, had negative volition and rebelled against God. (Satan’s fall - Ezek 28:15-16; Isa 14:12-17.) This resulted in Chaos!

14. 6. The earth was in a totally helpless, bound state. There was no way that anything could evolve.

15. Why evolution is absolutely impossible! The Laws of Thermodynamics.

16. Thermodynamics (T), is the physics of the relationship between heat and other forms of energy.

17. A “law” is a general principle or rule that is obeyed in all cases to which it is applicable. It is a formulation of the observed recurrence, order, relationship or interaction of natural phenomena.

18. A “theory” is a systematically organized knowledge of assumptions, accepted principles, and rules of procedure. It is abstract reasoning, speculation, hypothesis or supposition.

19. 1. The 1 st Law of T. “Conservation of energy.” The change in the internal energy of a system is equal to the sum of the heat added to the system and the work done on it.

20. Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed.

21. 2. The 2 nd Law. Heat cannot be transferred from a colder to a hotter body within a system without net changes occurring in other bodies within that system where entropy always occurs.

22. In regard to evolution; all of the various processes of the universe must operate within the framework of these two basic laws.

23. Nothing is now being either created or destroyed, but that which presently exists is becoming less ordered and less useful, drifting down toward an ultimate condition of quiescence and death.

24. There is a universal law of change in the world, yet the change is downward, not upward.

25. The principle of evolution is precisely the converse of the 2 nd Law of T, and therefore both cannot simultaneously be true.

26. Locally and temporarily, there may be an excess inflow of ordering energy into a particular system, so that there appears to be growth and development for a while.

27. But invariably this is only local and temporary and the decay principle wins out in the end.

28. Most people who believe in evolution, no matter how much education they may have, will be found to have only a vague understanding of the real evidences for and against it.

29. Most people have even less understanding of the tremendous weight of evidence supporting the inspired accuracy of the Scriptures, and their clear teaching of special creation. Cf. John 12:43; Rom 12:2; 2 Tim 2:15.

30. 1 Kings 18:21, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.”
