2.  Adjectives can provide important details.  Predicate adjectives help you paint pictures with words.  You can’t gesture in writing the way you can in a face-to-face conversation. But you can use demonstrative pronouns as adjectives to ‘’point to’’ people, and possessive pronouns in order to make relationships.  Adjectives describe the world around us and matter. Adjectives can have many different connotation, and can be positive, negative, or neutral.

3.  An adjective that follows a linking verb and describes the verb’s subject  Can follow linking verbs other than forms to be Ex: The airplanes were strange. “Airplanes” is the subject and “strange” is the predicate adjective and describes airplanes. “Were” is the linking verb.
