3 Log Onto WIN Log onto WIN from the Wake Forest homepage

4 Enter your user name and password (the same user name and password you use to log onto your computer each day)

5 WIN Welcome Screen There are several areas of information in WIN. To search for constituent and prospect records, select WIN Tools.

6 WIN Tools To do a name search, select Name Search from the menu Note: not all WIN tools screens are identical – they are based on specific job functions.

7 Name Search Enter the first and last name of the individual you are searching for. If you do not know the name of the individual, use the wild card search character %, i.e. %S will bring up anyone with the first name beginning with an S and the last name of Smith.

9 Short Constituent Profile A profile will always list the name of the individual, their ID, donor categories, class year, college and any spouse information. If the individual is not a prospect, the prospect status and Primary Prospect Manager areas will be blank. Clicking on one of the links will take you directly to that section of the Profile.

10 Long Constituent Profile The Long Constituent Profile provides staff assignments, ratings, external ratings, and giving totals. These are not visible in the Short Constituent Profile.

11 Short and Long Prospect The Short and Long Prospect screens provide some different information from the Short and Long Constituent screens. Strategy plans, prospect contacts, proposal information, prospect moves, prospect comments, and research data can only been viewed on the Short and Long Prospect screens.

12 An individual can have a number of ratings. When reviewing prospect ratings, make sure you note whether a particular rating is Primary. Project/Interest areas and External ratings are also captured in Banner.

13 Research data, when completed, is entered into Banner.

14 Deceased Records Deceased records are clearly indicated when doing a name search

15 Searching A Non-Person Using the % wild card character is best when searching for a non-person. All non-person searches should be entered in the Last Name field.
