2 On October 1, 2010, ICADV Released Its Domestic Violence Homicide Report: June 2009 – May 2010

3 ICADV examined the circumstances surrounding 76 domestic violence homicides in a recent, one year period and shows that when domestic violence homicide occurs, it is men who kill their partners and former partners, as well as their children.

8 n Police did not arrest even if assaults were serious. n No Order of Protection was available for Police to enforce.

11 One (1) wife murdered. 1978

12 The dead wife’s two (2) parents.

13 One (1) 11-year-old son witnessed murder of mother.
