1. Irregular plurals

2. To make nouns plural, you add an “s” just like English. You will change the article also. Indefinite articles will change from un and une to des. Definite articles will change from le, la, or l’ to les.

3. There are some words which form plurals in an irregular fashion. You have already learned about some of these.

4. “eau” words- words that end in eau will add an “x” to make their plurals. le tableau – les tableaux le jeu – les jeux “al” words – words that end in al will drop the -al and add aux. l’animal – les animaux le journal – les journaux
