3 Basic Resources:  Grocery Store  Corner Store/Bodega  Bank/ATM access  Pharmacies  Library  Heath Care Center/Clinic/Doctor Office/Dentist Office  Park/Greenspace/Trees on the Street  Police Station  Fire Station/Fire Hydrants  Community Center/Pool  Job Placement Center/Employment Center  Schools  Public Transportation  Religious Institutions

4 Something else to think about…  Studies show that there are Protective Factorsthat help students do better in school and be more successful in life  Studies show that there are Protective Factors that help students do better in school and be more successful in life  These protective factors can be available as community resources
