4 WHY go? Getting out there. We think it’s a great way to learn.
A PGL adventure will nurture and challenge your children; bringing out the best in them. Realise the potential in every individual to reach higher and achieve more. Tailored learning specifically for our group. The Multi-Activity courses use adventure to build confidence; a sense of achievement; forge stronger relationships; develop a better attitude in school.

6 Where is it? Caythorpe Court is a Grade II listed former hunting lodge situated about one mile to the east of Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It was originally built in 1901 for Edgar Lubbock, a brewer and banker. About Caythorpe Court Caythorpe Court is the perfect adventure centre for primary school groups, large or small, seeking an escape to the country. Just ten miles north of Grantham, there’s over 65 acres of space for your children to enjoy, packed full of adventure activities on land and water.

8 Who is going? Year 5 and Year 6 children… of course! Miss Johnson

9 What do I need to take? Clothing: Nightwear Underwear
Socks, over ankle length 2 or more fleeces/sweatshirts 3 T-shirts 1 long sleeved T-shirt 3 pairs of old trousers (not jeans) 2 for activities and one for evening. 2 pairs of shorts 2 pairs of trainers (1 for wet activities) Waterproof jacket Baseball cap/Hat Swimwear 1 set of disco clothes!

10 What do I need to take? Other Essentials:
Sleeping bag and pillow (unless otherwise advised) Wash bag (soap, toothbrush etc.) 2 large towels Torch and batteries Plastic bottle for drinks Sunscreen (summer) Pen & paper Small bag/rucksack Labelled plastic bags/bin liners for wet items.

11 Money Children are welcome to bring pocket money with them. Most PGL centres provide gifts shops, selling non branded and branded goods, from stationery to confectionery. No more than £10 (Ideally a £5 note and five £1 coins).

12 Special arrangements Medicines Dietary requirements

13 Accommodation Children will be asked who they would like to share a room with, this will be discussed in class. However as you will appreciate the staff will need to make the final decision.

14 Meals PGL provides 3 nutritious and well balanced meals a day. Water is also provided during activities. The caterers are able to deal with most dietary requirements but please ensure the party leaders are aware of this in advance of the trip. E.g. no butter in sandwiches.

16 FAQ Are the staff DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked? Yes, all PGL staff are list 99 checked and cleared by the DBS at Enhanced Disclosure level. Non UK residents are subject to the equivalent checks in their home country. Are your activity instructors qualified? Yes, all our instructors are carefully selected and highly trained. 17 FAQ My child can’t swim, can he/she still take part? You must inform the party leader of your child’s swimming ability. Water confidence is adequate for some activities or we will make alternative arrangements so that your child does not miss out. It is my child’s birthday whist they are away, can you organise a cake? If the party leader is aware of this, we will make every effort to organise a cake and ensure that the day is special.
