4 The plot: It’ s a dialogue: the mother asks her son about the blood on his sword. Initially, the son replies that first he killed his hawk, then his horse, but the mother doesn’t believe him. After that he confesses of having killed his father. The son decides he will go away from his house and so decides who to leave his wealth. He leaves his mother the curse of hell. Metrical patterns: There are many repetitions: in each stanza the first line is the same as the third line. There are 13 stanzas formed by four lines. Edward.docx

In the song the artist wants to tell his girlfriend that he loves her exactly the way she is. He praises her hair, her eyes, her smile. He’s really in love with her and he tells her girlfriend that every day and on every occasion. In the song we can find the characteristics of the typical ballad: there are strophes, a refrain and the topic of love.
