3 Now’s a good time to save your work. Go to the ‘File’ menu and down to ‘Save as’. Rename the presentation to your name and save it to the desktop. Ask your teacher if you are finding this tricky. Latest UK weather The weather across the UK is likely to be mostly ……… today. In the North of the UK there will be a lot of ……….. Over Ireland, the weather looks likely to be ……… so people may need to wear ……… The weather in Wales is ……… In Southern England ……… will dominate for most of the day, with the weather for tomorrow looking ……… Drag the weather symbols from above onto the map. Think about what the weather is like today and fill in the blanks in the sentences. Why not visit the Met Office web site for help with today’s weather (Right click this link, go to ‘hyperlinks’, ‘open in new window’) Did you know? You can copy a weather symbol by clicking it then going to the ‘edit’ menu, select ‘copy’ then ‘paste’.

4 Chose a region and find out what the weather will be like over the next 5 days. 5 Think about what the weather may be like across the rest of the world. Drag on some symbols and describe what the conditions may be like. Drag the weather and temperature symbols from above into the table. Need a hand with the world weather? Have a look at the Met Office forecasts (Right click this link, go to ‘hyperlinks’, ‘open in new window’) World Weather Today the weather for Africa is mostly ………. Whilst Antarctica is ………. and ……….

6 Fill in the blanks in the text. Feel free to delete the typing and make your own summary if you are happy to type it. Add pictures by choosing ‘insert’, ‘picture’, ‘from file’ and select ‘images’ from the disk. Think what images match your summary. Ask your teacher if you need extra help.
