2 Past simple of regular and irregular verbs
Positive Negative Question Short answer I worked I spoke. I did not work. I did not speak. Did you work? Did you speak? Yes, I did, No, I didn´t. Regular verb + ed Irregular verb Function: completed action in a time before now (He visited his parents last week.) Signal Words: often, sometimes, always last week, when I was a child, yesterday, six weeks ago. the other day, ages ago, a long time ago etc.

3 Exceptions in spelling when adding ed
Example love – loved, like admit – admitted travel – travelled hurry – hurried , carry

4 Time prepositions At – for times of the day at half past 7 at midnight at sunset at breakfast time On - for days and dates on the 5th of June on Tuesdays, on Saturday morning on Christmas day In - for longer periods of time in April in 1987 in the winter of 1976 in the 1930s No preposition – for some time words next last tomorrow yesterday
