3  Includes  Tundra-very dry, small plants due to permafrost.  Taiga-very cold, evergreens allow snow to fall off. Polar: Between 90-60 degrees latitude.

4 Inclu des: Temperate forests-cold winters/warm summers, deciduous and evergreens. Temperate grasslands-not enough rain for trees, the prairies. Chaparrel-cool wet winters/dry summers, short shrubs with waxy leaves. Temperate deserts- hot days/cold nights, low humidity Temperate: 30-60 degrees latitude

5  Includes:  Rain forests-Strong sunlight and lots of rainfall causing poor soil.  Tropical Deserts-Hot in the day and cool at night. Poor soil and many succulents.  Tropical Savannas-Very warm with long dry seasons. Mostly grass with few trees, many adapted to fire. Tropical: 0-30 Degrees
