Heart Murmur- irregular sounding heart beat.
Cause by the swinging of the heart valves. Usually harmless, but must be check to make sure that it is not a valve disorder

Heart Disease Atherosclerosis- condition where the arteries of the body become clogged with plaques. A plaque is a build up of cholesterol on the artery wall. Coronary Artery Disease- When one of the heart’s own arteries has plaque build up.

RISK FACTORS that increase the chance of heart disease:
High fat/cholesterol/sodium diet Age Stress High blood pressure Smoking

Bypass surgery (Double bypass, triple bypass)
Diseased coronary arteries are “bypassed” with healthy arteries or grafts to increase the supply of oxygen to the heart.

Cardiac Arrest (Sudden cardiac arrest)
Heart stops beating “shockable” and “nonshockable” cardiac arrest

Heart attack- a blocked vessel that leads to the heart itself
Stroke- a blocked vessel that leads to the brain Aneurysm- a weakened blood vessel that explodes

High blood pressure Diet high in sodium increases blood pressure….
