2 Morning Procedures  Come in quietly  Put things away  Get morning journal and weather book  Bring your folder to your table  Sharpen 2 pencils  Start morning board work  Quiet voices!!!!

3 Community Circle  Quietly come to the floor and form a circle  Pass the flower around the circle and each person gets a turn to talk about topic chosen by Ms. potter  Go back to seat to do a TRIBES activity.

4 Correct Morning Work

5 Spelling & Word Wall Words  Monday-practice words and write them around the tracer  Tuesday-practice words and spelling pyramids  Wednesday-practice words and write sentences  Thursday-practice words and write definitions  Friday-practice words and take test and word search

6 Bathroom Break

7 Guided Reading  Quietly get reading book and practice book.  Go over vocabulary of the story.  Predict & Preview story  Activate Prior Knowledge/BOL  Read Story: Popcorn, tape, teacher read, group read, etc.  Students track words with reader.  Students work on phonic skill in workbooks  Show mutual respect to classmates!

8 Small Groups/Literacy Centers  Teacher instruction  Computer  Alphabet & Folders  Listening  Word Games  Writing  Reading Corner

9 Lunch/Playground  Quiet voices in cafeteria  Rule of “7”  Clean up and raise your hand to leave  Be RESPECTFUL on the playground

10 Journal Writing  Come in quietly and get journal  Read topic on the board and open journal to blank page  Write silently for 15-20 minutes  Popcorn turns to read in author’s chair

11 Story Time

12 Self-Selected Reading  Table Books  Reading Corner  Listening  Beyond Books  Library Books  Students are expected to: Find a spot by themselves and READ,READ,READ!

13 CALENDAR  Student leads rest of class.  Date, Time, Days of Week, Money, Counting, Evens, Odds, Fives, Tens, Place Value  Rest of class answers questions.

14 Saxon Math  Review skills from previous lessons.  Learn new skill for new lesson.  Review addition and subtraction facts  Take time test  Work on side A  Side B Homework

15 Specials Monday – PE Tuesday – ART Wednesday – MUSIC Thursday – PE Friday – ART

16 Unit Study  Social Studies  Science  Work on “Theme” of the month.  Tuesday/Thursday – Class project  Monday, Wednesday, Friday – Unit Centers Unit Centers: *Computer *Math Manipulatives *Weekly Readers *Puzzles *Folders/Alphabet *Builder’s corner

17 Reflection  Reflect on what happened during the day.  Discuss things they learned during the day
