11 The iPhone debuts on June 29th at 6:00pm local time (start waiting in line now!) and will be available ONLY from the Apple and AT&T stores. “Reports as to how many iPhones will actually be available on June 29th have ranged from less than 40 per AT&T store to 3 million total. The device is due to go on sale at approximately 1800 AT&T locations in addition to over 170 Apple retail stores.” (Apple Insider)

12 Pricing is set for two different models.

13 The true cost of the phone plus calling plans is not clear. Allen Stern from Center Networks wrote a humorous article about how outrageous the final price may ultimately be. cost True cost article

14 Will it sell? Apple has set a goal to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. “It's easy to forget that the iPod wasn't an immediate hit when it rolled out. Apple had years to ramp up production. Steve Jobs (Apple’s CEO) did so expertly, often creating a sense of scarcity by running slightly short of demand. With all the buildup over the iPhone, pumping up demand will be the least of his concerns.” (Business Week)
