5. 1744  Eliza Lucas Pinckney successfully grows indigo.  Southern plantations grew tobacco, rice, and indigo, which they sold to buyers in England and elsewhere in America.

10. 1750-1770 Colonial Governments Assembly- is a meeting for the people of the town or which ever group. Legislation- I the making or the passing of laws. Delegates- are member s of an assembly, wealthy landowners, and lawyers.
