12 Whole Class Instruction  Students’ attention on teacher (No side talking)  Materials (pencil/notebook/book) are ready  Raise your hand and wait to be called on by name  Students take notes

13 Independent Work  Work completed on your own  Materials on desk  Working on assigned tasks  No talking or partner sharing  Room is quiet

14 Partner or Group Work  Say hello / make eye contact  Pair share / take turns  Use a quiet voice and make an honest effort to communicate.  At desk or assigned place  Materials are out and task is being actively worked on.

15 Classroom Ground Rules  Keep the classroom a Safe Space for everyone.  Be responsible. Be accountable.  Respect other people and their property.  Take care of each other.
