4. Complex Identity is complex because it can be objective and subjective. Many factors combine to make up a person’s identity. For example: race, culture, nationality, ethnicity, experiences, family, location, historic time and place, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, biology etc...etc...

5. Fluid Identity is fluid because it is always changing. As we grow physically, our identity and self image changes; as we grow emotionally, out identity changes; as we reflect on our life experiences, our identity changes. We can consciously choose to change who we are by behaving and thinking differently. We can purposely change our looks. The way we see ourselves and the way others see us can always change.
