End of Key Stage 2 Assessments 9th – 12 th May 2016 Reading Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Maths Writing to be teacher assessed (externally moderated) Science to be assessed through written work and assessments Information session will be held for parents early in Spring term.

Homework No formal homework until after transition tests New homework scheme to be introduced in September Much of the homework will require parental support Reading, spellings and times tables are non- negotiable!

Equipment Black handwriting pen Blue handwriting pen (for editing) Pencil, sharpener and rubber Ruler with millimetres Coloured pencils Highlighter pen Glue stick Whiteboard pen No novelty stationery please!

Uniform New uniform policy includes: – Long hair and/or long fringes to be tied back – No jewellery – No extreme haircuts – PE kit: as per policy – no football shirts

How can you support your child? Support your child with reading, spellings and homework. Check equipment periodically. Keep us informed of anything that may affect your child’s learning or happiness.
