>>FACULTY OF CREATIVE INDUSTRIES AND BUSINESS Critically examine and evaluate the literature relating to change theories. Give attention to issues around implementing change and culture in business. You are expected to research 10-15 appropriate academic journal articles and relevant text books. Internet references or Wikipedia sources are not appropriate research resources and marks will be deducted for use. (I advised Helen 10-15 for marking guide) Length: 2500 +/- 150 words. Length limit excludes bibliography, appendices, figures, and tables. Assignment two >>DEPARTMENT TITLE EDIT IN HEADER & FOOTER

Introduction 15% >>DEPARTMENT TITLE EDIT IN HEADER & FOOTER Introduction: Provides some background of the topic. Explains how the essay is structured, introduces key ideas/ issues, and how these will be addressed. States any assumptions or limitations. Makes reference to key ideas and issues, theoretical models, and other authors ideas. Sets out clear objectives to be achieved in the essay

Main Body – 65% critical part >>DEPARTMENT TITLE EDIT IN HEADER & FOOTER It involves synthesis of ideas, answers well justified and supported with citations from journal articles. Includes: What is happening? Why is it happening? Can things be done differently and why? Presents and discusses the key issues, trends of each topic, what lessons and implications for the theory and practice of Change Management. A significant number of quality journal articles for this section of the assignment. (Agreed 10-15)

Conclusions 10% >>DEPARTMENT TITLE EDIT IN HEADER & FOOTER Key themes are SUMMARISED, leading to firm conclusions. This section should be a synthesis of the ideas not just a summary of points. Conclusions flow on from the important issues that were found and discussed in the essay’s main body. The conclusions need to answer the aim(s) and key objectives of the essay that have been clearly stated in the introduction section. Ken - Go back an add objective if you have great stuff not in original objectives! Check all objectives answered or remove objective! It is essential that no new information is provided in this section. Please do not recommend anything in your conclusions.

Recommendations 10% then References >>DEPARTMENT TITLE EDIT IN HEADER & FOOTER This section suggests new ideas/innovative approaches and future directions concerning the chosen topic of interest based on the gaps found in the literature resulting from the research. In this section you are trying to ‘reinvent the wheel’ concerning some of the key issues that you have provided and discussed in your essay’s main body. You need to present your own ideas here concerning the key issues and implications (that focus on your chosen topic) for managing change relating to the implementation of a new organisational strategy.
