4 Group Admins are responsible for all aspects of a Group, including: –Managing Group settings –Managing Group roles –Managing content –Posting files & blog posts –Posting Announcements –Messaging Group Leaders or Group Participants –Posting in the Activity Feed –Posting Volunteer Opportunities (if activated) 4 What’s the difference between a Group Admin, a Group Key Leader, and a Group Leader?

5 Group Key Leaders focus exclusively on content by: –Posting files –Posting Announcements –Posting on the News & Updates blog –Messaging Group Participants –Posting in the Activity Feed –Posting Volunteer Opportunities (if activated) 5 What’s the difference between a Group Admin, a Group Key Leader, and a Group Leader?

6 Group Leaders are, in essence, identified volunteers. Group Leaders have the same rights and abilities as Group Participants. They are the Participants who are listed on the Group Leadership page. If they have a Participant Profile, their Profile and image will be available through the Leadership page. 6 What’s the difference between a Group Admin, a Group Key Leader, and a Group Leader?

7 All activated unit Group pages on ASME.org need at least one Group Admin. Are you currently the only Admin for your Group? –You can give Admin status to a volunteer if they have shown adherence to ASME policy and tech savvy in the past. –Even if you provide Admin status to a volunteer, be sure to monitor the Group. 7 Which one(s) should my Group have?

8 Group Key Leaders are a better choice if: –Your unit already has a volunteer Admin and they’re seeking support. –You feel like the Group would be better served by staff in the primary maintenance role. 8 Which one(s) should my Group have?

9 You are not responsible for the maintenance of Participant-created Groups made by members. The Participant-created Group originator is automatically the Admin. The Admin can add additional admins or Group Key Leaders as they see fit. 9 What about Participant-created Groups?
