2 Consultation began on the 20 th September and ends on the 13 th December As at 30-11-10, Consultation has been carried out with : Members, Stakeholders and the public Methods 6 Meetings have been attended (around 250 people including 180 young people at Oakgrove) Also, the Housing Services Forum (around 30 people in a facilitated workshop) A press release sent out; Articles published (e.g. the web, Parish Newsletter, Live MK on 25-11-10) Exhibition boards placed in CMK Library & Tenants Resource Centre Feedback 67 – From the Public (of which 53 were from the Probation Service) 8 – From MKC (of which 4 came from Councillors) 9 – From Organsiations 6 - Meetings

3 Housing Strategy Consultation Responses to questions What homes should be built ( 71 responses ) Type There was a range from studio, shared houses, all bedroom sizes to bungalows. The largest response was “ a mix “ with 14 responses Client group (32) The largest response was “ for single people “ (9), people with disabilities (8 ) and older people (7) Tenure (38) By far the largest response was “ affordable “ with 25

(112 ) The largest response was “ high standard “ with 30, and “eco/energy efficient “with 25 Design/layout (54) There was a range of response with “not too dense” at 6 and “parking” at 5 What does sustainable communities mean to you (122) The largest response was “ diverse” with 24, followed by “local facilities” with 18

(61 ) The highest response was “issues about repairs/improvements” (32 ) Standards to set (49) There was no clear response, although “ good standards” (8) and “ focus on the private sector “ (8) were the highest How could we make best use of existing homes ? (89 ) The highest response was “ Allocations “ (34 ), and “property improvement” (25 )

(88 ) “ Yes “ was the highest with 80 responses What extra support do you think would help? (140 ) The highest was “ specialist support “(54), with the other comments fairly evenly spread over ” communication; financial; property; community “ How can we make it easier for people to get the support they need? (119 ) The highest was “communicate “ with 37
