5 Potable Water Truck Stds. RecommendationsRecommendations –Urge local units to meet requirements contained in the national contract standards found in the Food and Shower Contract (Blue Book) when signing local potable water trucks up under an EERA.

7 Handwashing stations Problem:Problem: –Current stations are ineffective in killing bacteria due to lack of hot water. –Foot pump handwash stations don’t meet any health standards, non-potable water, cold water. –Incident personnel have been observed using water inappropriately from existing stations Recommendation:Recommendation: –Don’t use the cold water foot pump stations. –In interim, use waterless hand cleaners.
