For what do we use the Present Simple?

Present simple We use the present simple to talk about things in general Ex. Bees make honey.

Present simple We use it to say that something happens all the time or repeatedly (routines) Ex. I get up at 6 o'clock everyday

Present simple Or we use it for permanent situations Ex. John isn't lazy. He works hard most of the time.

Affirmative sentences I / we / you / they + drive / work /do, etc. He / she / it + drives / works / does, etc.* *Note the ending of the verbs in S, this is a rule you always have to follow to construct a good sentence when the subject is he/she or it. *the ending -S only happens in the affirmative form and sometimes depending on the last letter it has to be an –es. (do--- does).

Present continuous

we use the continuous for things happening at or around the time of speaking. Ex. I am getting hungry. Let's go and eat.

Present continuous We use it when the action is not complete. Ex. They are speaking other languages

Present continuous Or we use the continuous for temporary situations: Ex. I am living with some friends until I find a place of my own.
