5 Our Class Rules Raise your hand before speaking. Show respect to others. Follow directions. Be responsible for yourself. Have fun learning in 4 th Grade!

6 Behavior Chart Green All students begin each day on Green. Yellow –1st infraction—Turn card to Yellow– verbal warning Orange- –2 nd infraction—Turn card to Orange-- lose ten minutes of recess Red –3 rd infraction—Turn card to Red— lose all of recess and a note will come home.

7 Fourth Grade Things Classwork Policies –All classwork must be completed at school. –Classwork can be for practice or taken for a grade.

8 Grading Scale 90-100% A 80-89% B 74-79% C 70-73% D Below 69% F

9 Homework should last for 90 minutes a night and should be budgeted in the following manner:  15 minutes looking for the assignment  11 minutes calling a friend for the assignment  23 minutes explaining why the teacher is mean and just does not like children  8 minutes in the bathroom  10 minutes getting a snack  7 minutes checking the TV guide  6 minutes telling parents that the teacher never explained the assignment  10 minutes sitting at the kitchen table waiting for Mom or Dad to do the assignment SCHOOL HOMEWORK POLICY

10 Fourth Grade Things Homework Policies Homework will be listed in the planner. Homework should be completed and returned the following day. Parents should check and sign planners nightly. Homework will not be graded unless otherwise specified (projects).

11 Absence and Dismissal Policy Please send a note from home if there is an absence/tardy or change in dismissal. Regular attendance is vital to your child’s success in fourth grade.

12 Clinic/Medication Policies ALL medications must be sent to the clinic in the original container. Please send a note with all medications. Visit the Clinic website: http://creativedg.com/clinic/index.html

13 Cafeteria Information Menus are available on the Cobb County website. Prices -Student-$1.65 (new price) -Adult-$2.75 Lunches must be pre-paid. No fast food is permitted!

14 Conference Week & Report Cards Conference Week will be October 24-28th ( a note will go home requesting a conference; please sign and return) Please review the Thursday Folder and daily planner. Problems and concerns will be documented here.

15 Testing CRCT - Criterion Reference Competency Test (April 18-27th) Begins on Wed. and ends on Tues.

16 Field Trips Youth Museum – February – approx. $12.00. Fire Safety Village – usually in March Wellstar In School Visits
