2 Mission Mission Statement: “ISAAC will promote professional practices in arboriculture, and foster awareness of the benefits of trees through research, technology and education”. Goals:  educate tree workers and tree managers;  educate the public about the benefits of the trees;  enhance ISAAC’s role as the national arboricultural body in Australia;  develop and institute arboricultural standards;  encourage and support arboricultural research; and  develop strong relationships with related and like-minded organisations. 3 Business Plan The goal ISAAC National Conference 2004 ATCC 2004 300 ISAAC members ISAAC National Conference 2005 ISA Certified Arborist program growth Promotion of ISAAC and trees Local mail-out of ISA journals ATCC 2004 to have 30 competitors Promoting professional tree care.org.au Deadline November 2004 AGM 2004 September 2004 AGM 2004 March 2004 November 2004 Achieved 283 members at 29/10 Achieved QLD, WA, SA, Vic & NSW in last 14 months, Tas in 2005 In progress Achieved Achieved - 35 competitors (incl. 5 women) with first ever from WA

4 Relationships Local Govt - supporting national group and linkages between groups NSW- 2004 conference with NAAA WA - workshops and seminars with WA Tree Guild SA - continued strong relationship with SASA QLD - QAA Arbor Camp and certification exams Tas - links with Councils, 2005 conference Vic - VTIO meeting regularly WOTT - 170 members world-wide, new merchandise range ISA - improving relationship Promoting professional tree care.org.au

5 Services to members Finance Has been a tough road, Treasurer’s report Administration Becoming a strength, 1300 number, open Wednesday and Friday Group Insurance Scheme Delivering real savings and driving membership growth Book Sales Growing, expanded book range in 2005 Tree Climbing Championships 35 competitors at 2004 ATCC, including WA reps. And 5 women. Congratulations to Kiah Martin, Cherrie Neale and Brett Hamlin for their strong performances at the 2004 ITCC. Promoting professional tree care.org.au
