3 Classes are held at the high school during the course of your regular School day and run on the high school schedule. At NWLHS with LCCC faculty: SOC150 - Introduction to Sociology SOC151 - Modern Social Problems At NWLHS with Northwestern faculty: ART 102 - Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting BIO 101 - Intro to Biology BIO 163 - Anatomy & Physiology I ENG 105 - College English I There are options available on LCCC’s campus and on-line for additional dual enrollment opportunities. Please speak to your Guidance Counselor for approval.

4 In most cases, students can expect to have to take LCCC’s assessment test (COMPASS) or to provide test scores from PSSA, PSAT or SAT in order to register for the courses. This will happen anywhere you decide to go to college. The purpose of the assessment test is to ensure you have the knowledge to be successful in our courses. You will submit your registration card and payment to the high school but it is your responsibility to provide LCCC/NWLHS with the test information in order to be registered for the course. All COMPASS testing information is on www.lccc.edu and a hand-out is available at the end of today’s meeting.www.lccc.edu

5 Step #1 -- Determine the courses you would like to take Step #2 -- Fill out the application online (www.lccc.edu, Admissions, Apply now, High School Application) – you will be mailed an LCCC acceptance letter with Student I.D. Numberwww.lccc.edu Step #3 -- Return the completed registration card, test scores (if applicable) and payment to Ms. Kokos, Guidance Office ALL applications/registrations and payments must be received by June 5, 2015 – for all fall and spring courses **NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED**

6 All courses offered through LCCC’s program are $30.00 per credit (Northwestern faculty) and $55.00 per credit (LCCC faculty). Please make every effort to pay via check. Write students name (first and last) on memo line of check. Check made payable to LCCC, not NWL. If you have any questions, please call 610-799-1120

7 You may be required to purchase a text book for your course. To purchase through LCCC’s bookstore: 1.Go to www.lccc.eduwww.lccc.edu 2.Click on bookstore (left tab on screen) 3.Click on “books can be ordered on-line” 4.Choose textbooks and course materials 5.Enter credit program, semester (Fall or Spring) 6.You must enter your course information. For example: Intro to Sociology – SOC150 You can get textbook information online and order elsewhere.

8  Attendance  Communication  Homework/Readings  This is a for-credit college course and you will be treated like all other LCCC college students.
