7 5 Basic Types of Values Moral - honesty, respect, trustworthy, responsible Material - car, ipod, clothes, cell phone, “stuff” Aesthetic - flower garden, pretty things Intrinsic - the feeling you get ie: like it, love it, or hate it, high or low intrinsic value. Extrinsic – the actual item you receive ie: grades, paycheck, combines w/ intrinsic to determine intrinsic/extrinsic value

12 2 Types of Goals  Short Term: Achieved quickly (often helps achieve long term goals)  calling a sick friend, finishing math homework, etc.  Long Term:Takes months, years, sometimes all your life to accomplish!  Graduation, become a pilot, own a home, etc.
