3 Why are all tests scheduled at the same time and on the same day at all venues? To prevent cheating To maintain efficiency Why aren’t students allowed to start the exam after 10am (first shift) and 2pm (second shift)? To prevent cheating To facilitate a timely closing of the test for staff, proctors, site supervisors, and CEPA staff

4 All Communication with NAPO / CEPA Informing Staff of Schedules and Responsibilities Training Staff for Registration, Help Desk, Proctoring, Authentication, etc. Preparation for Administration Monitoring all staff on exam day Packing and safe return of materials If any of these items is delegated to another employee, the Site Supervisor is in charge of checking to see that the work has been done correctly.

6 1. Identify the computer labs you will use for CEPA. 2. Count the seats in these rooms. 3. Provide this information to CEPA. 4. CEPA will make a list of candidates. 5. CBT will be printed on CEPA tickets. 6. On exam day, fill rooms as students arrive.

CEPA will make a list of candidates, sorted by NAPO ID, with room and seat numbers. 5. Cut and paste this list into the blank sign-in sheets. 6. Receive answer sheets in order of NAPO ID and seat. 7. Put answer sheets and sign-in sheets in exam packs. 8. Seat numbers and rooms will be printed on CEPA tickets. Room A002 Seats 21-40

8 Each proctor will receive an exam pack. What does it include?  20 Answer Sheets  20 Test Booklets  Sign-In Sheet  Assessment Irregularity Form  Misconduct Form  (Red and Yellow Cards)  (Help Sign)  Pencils and Erasers All exams must be returned to CEPA in complete packs, including unused materials. Unused booklets should remain sealed.

9 What should be done if a parent or student contacts you concerning a special needs candidate? Contact Ryan. Is it okay to read the exam to blind students? No. Call Ryan. Is it okay to allow a diabetic to eat a snack if needed? Yes. No one else may eat during the exam. If a student has a broken arm, can someone else write his essay? No. Call Ryan.

Original Emirates ID or Original Passport What if the student has no ID, or brings a photocopy? The student should go to the Help Desk. What if the student has no ticket? Help Desk. 150 1

No CEPA ticket, but she’s on the registry. Registered for ZU, but shows up at Dubai Men’s. Can take the test! 14  Do not use until you have called Ryan Gjovig  Check and double check ID  For CBT, ensure that the Authenticator knows to put the student’s name and ID in the comments field.  For PBT, check and double check that name (English) and ID are in pencil.

15 How can a student cheat on the CEPA CBT? By switching NAPO ID #’s with another student. What if a student has logged on with the wrong ID number? The authenticator can change it! What should the authenticator do with Generics? Type the student’s real name and NAPO ID into the comments field. Can authenticators share login credentials? No.
