3.  Hello students, as a warm-up activity describe what integral health means to you. 3

4.  Be respectful and treat everyone as you would want to be treated yourself.  Wait to respond to a message that upsets you and be careful of what you say and how you say it.  Be considerate. Rude or threatening language, inflammatory assertions, personal attacks, and other inappropriate communication will not be tolerated.  Emoticons can be used to extenuate meaning.  Never post a message that is in all capital letters -- it comes across to the reader as SHOUTING! Use boldface and italics sparingly, as they can denote sarcasm.  Keep messages relevant to the topic being discussed.  Always practice good grammar, punctuation, and composition. This shows that you taken the time to craft your response and that you respect your classmates' work.  Keep in mind that threaded discussions are meant to be constructive exchanges.  Use spell check! 4

There are step-by-step instructions in the Unit 1 Blog thread that will allow you to set it up.  Be sure to read the Your Blog thread for each unit as it will have instructions for responses that you must include in your blog  POLL: Have you ever worked with blogs before? 7

8.  There is not currently a thread to post your blog address within Unit 1, so please post it in the thread in unit 2 labeled “Blog Discussion.” As soon as you have your blog address, be sure to place it in this thread so you will earn the points for Unit 1 Blog.  When you copy and paste your blog website into the Unit 2 Blog Discussion thread, please be sure to press “Enter” after you copy and paste it. This allows the rest of the class to just click on your blog and go right to it. Please view my example provided in the Unit 2 Blog Discussion thread. 8

9.  Flex Seminar s  Attendance within the synchronous seminar participation is not required but enhancing learning. Check syllabus for specific times this term. 9

10.  There are 2 Projects for this course. One is in Unit 5 and one is in Unit 9, so please plan accordingly as the course progresses.  There are 3 Quizzes throughout this course. One is in Unit 2, one in Unit 4 and the last one is in Unit 6. Look for the study guides that are provided in the announcements. Please submit on time! 10

12.  Late Work Policy: Late work will not be accepted unless there are clear and compelling extenuating circumstances. Examples extenuating circumstances include: serious personal and/or family illness/hospitalization, death in the family, weather-related evacuation/emergencies, work emergencies, and issues related to active military assignment. Personal computer/software/internet connectivity issues and course blocks are not considered extenuating circumstances. 12

18.  Integral health is the compilation of the mind-body- spirit connectedness as part of a complete sense of the self.  What are some examples of how the mind-body- spirit are connected? 18

19.  Integral health does not just refer to diagnosing health issues and fixing them, but it is more involved with the healing process overall.  What are some examples of healing that you have used before? 19

20.  Consciousness involves the entire emotions, sensations, thoughts, feelings, and worldviews that we hold.  Integral perspective requires that we examine our thoughts and feelings, as well as understand how they exist in what is reality. Individual reality needs to be congruent with actual reality. 20

21.  Integral methodology requires objective and subjective thoughts and for each individual to make changes as necessary.  Integral medicine promotes an understanding that cross-cultural aspects are necessary to take into account to have true healing.  Desiring healing and integral health is as necessary as desiring diagnostic procedures in order to heal effectively. 21

22.  The key to integral health is an individual’s understanding of multidimensionality practices and their willingness to use!  A healthy planet is necessary for healthy humans.  Having a desire for mystery, wonder, and humility are important for further development. 22
