10 A slur connects two or more notes that have different pitches. A slur is a line that connects multiple notes so they blend together. It indicates a phrase is to be played legato. September 21, 2012

11 -The speed at which a passage of music is or should be played. -The rate or speed of motion or activity. -Also known as: pace, rate, speed, time, velocity, beat, and rhythm. -A steady beat or rhythm is known as a tempo. Example – It is used in music to highlight the singers’ voices by removing the music so all you can hear is them. For certain songs this can achieve a better sound. We sometimes perform a cappella songs for choir concerts. Last year we sang “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy”, which was very challenging without music to guide us. October 18, 2012
