2 What is Pneumonia? Pneumonia is an acute or chronic disease marked by inflammation of the lungs. It has different types The causes are different Almost anyone is at risk And the symptoms are various

4 Who is at Risk? If your body’s defense system is weak Old age
Children more than 2 years old Adults People with illnesses People with impaired immune system Live in nursing homes Have cancer and about to get treatment

5 What are the Symptoms? Shaking chills Chattering Severe chest pains
A cough that produces rust colored or green sputum Temperature rises Breathing and pulse rate increase

Pneumococcal Streptococcal Mycoplasmal Chlamydial Viral Fungal Aspiration Staphylococcal

Antibiotics are often prescribed. Antibiotics are not as affective as they use to be A shot every 5to7 years resists some kinds of pneumonia Some pills and liquids It really depends on what kind of pneumonia you have                                       

8 Some Facts About Pneumonia
Often pneumonia begins after an upper respiratory tract infection (an infection of the nose and throat). Symptoms of pneumonia start after 2 or 3 days of a cold or a fever Symptoms of pneumonia vary depending on the age of child and the cause of it Sometimes a child’s only symptoms is labored breathing Some pneumonia bacteria can be contagious by sneezing and coughing.
