1 Present to Future and “have to do” stuff! Conjugation of the present tense of the verb to the present tense of Ir + a + Infinitive

2 Example: You prefer fruits.  You are going to prefer fruits.  (PREFERIR) Tú prefieres las frutas. Tú vas a preferir las frutas. First, the verb is in the present tense. You need to conjugate it using IR + a + Infinitive!

3 1. I understand.  I’m going to understand.  (ENTENDER) Yo entiendo. Yo voy a entender. First, the verb is in the present tense. You need to conjugate it using IR + a + Infinitive!

4 2. We ask for the spaghetti.  We are going to defend the house.  (PEDIR) Nosotros pedimos los espaguetis. Nosotros vamos a pedir los espaguetis. First, the verb is in the present tense. You need to conjugate it using IR + a + Infinitive!

5 3. They (guys) prefer vegetables.  They are going to prefer vegetables.  (PREFERIR) Ellos prefieren las verduras. Ellos van a preferir verduras. First, the verb is in the present tense. You need to conjugate it using IR + a + Infinitive!

10 8. Marta wants to go shopping at the mall.  Marta is going to want to go shopping at the mall.  (QUERER) Marta quiere ir de compras al centro comercial. Marta va a querer (a) ir de compras al entro comercial. Marta tiene que querer (a) ir de compras al centro comercial.
