1 Changing the name of a worksheet When an application has multiple worksheets, giving the worksheets meaningful names makes it easier to keep track of what data is contained on each worksheet. There are three ways to change the name of a worksheet: we can use a menu command, we can select the tab name for editing by double clicking on it, or we can use a command from a popup menu made visible by right clicking on the tab. Whichever method we use, the sheet name will be selected, ready for replacement with whatever is typed on the keyboard. Suppose we are developing a budget workbook and want to use separate worksheets for Personnel, Rent and Maintenance, and Food and Supplies. We will change the names for Sheet1, Sheet2, and Sheet 3 to these names. Changing the name of a worksheet, Slide 1Copyright © 2004, Jim Schwab, University of Texas at Austin
