4  Mathew Brady and his staff of photographers exposes over 7,000 negatives of photographs taken through out the time of the Civil War.

5  Known for his invention Carte de Visite, which started a wave of popularity with portrait photography in France.

6  James Clerk Maxwell (1831 – 1879)  In 1861 he presented the worlds first colour photograph by using red, blue and green filters, in the front of the camera.

7  In 1888, the first Kodak camera was created to have a roll of 20 foot long paper, enough to hold 100 2.5 inch circular photographs.  One year later roll-film was created.  “Brownie Box” (1900) George Eastman

8  Development of multi-layer colour negative films  Margret Bourke-White, Robert Capa, Carl Mydans and W. Eugene Smith cover the war for “LIFE” magazine.
